Illinois State golfers remain fourth at 2025 More Than Golf Invitational

The Illinois State women's golf team secured their position in fourth place during the second round of the 2025 More Than Golf Invitational. Jinyoung Yun and Lory Paradis delivered notable performances to aid their team at the tournament held in Aiken, South Carolina.

The Redbirds posted a second-round score of 301, keeping their overall total at 605. They trail behind Georgia Southern with 584, Dartmouth with 593, and Delaware with 600. The field also features Columbia, East Tennessee State, Kennesaw State, Georgetown, Oakland, Charleston Southern, Augusta, and Albany.

Yun showcased her skills with an even-par 73 in the second round. Her performance featured an eight-hole run comprising an eagle, four birdies, and two pars, allowing her to finish the round strong. "Yun cruised into the finish of the round with back-to-back pars for the even-par round," moving up seven spots in individual rankings.

Paradis completed the front nine with four straight birdies, ending at one under par before concluding her round with a one-over-par 74. She currently stands tied for 20th place.

Morgan Jones, the leading player for ISU after two rounds, scored an even-par 146 with one birdie and 13 pars, tying for fifth in the field.

The freshmen, Elise Fennell and Alex Sparrow, are tied for 33rd, both at 157 over two rounds. Sparrow, participating as an individual, scored a four-over 77, while Fennell finished with a five-over 78. Jessica Jolly played for a birdie and six pars in her second-round 89.

The six ISU golfers will play the final round starting at 7:40 a.m. (CT). The team is set to continue from holes six through nine.
