Illinois State University's gymnastics team saw three of its senior athletes—Jaye Mack, Sara Wabi, and Alana Laster—competing at the NCAA Washington Regional Championships in Seattle. This event took place at the Alaska Airlines Arena, where the Redbird athletes represented their school against top college gymnasts.

The competition was part of the first session of Round Two, with teams from Missouri and Arizona advancing to the Regional Final. These teams are vying for a spot at the NCAA Championships in Texas.

ISU's head coach Bob Conkling expressed his admiration for the athletes, saying, "I am so proud of all three of these young ladies as they competed at NCAA Regionals. Their poise, as seniors, knowing this would be their last time representing ISU was something special to watch. I think they should all be proud of the careers they've had here as Redbirds."

In her fourth appearance at the NCAA Regionals, Jaye Mack performed impressively, scoring 9.875 on the vault to tie for third place, and 9.850 on the floor, tying for 11th place overall. Sara Wabi, in her debut at the regionals, tied for 18th place on bars with a score of 9.800. Meanwhile, Alana Laster, participating in her third regional competition, faced challenges with falls during her vault and floor routines.
