Illinois Wesleyan University's baseball team is set for a two-game series this week after an undefeated five-game streak. The Titans, who currently hold a 12-10 record overall and are 5-2 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW), will host North Central College and Monmouth College in midweek games at Jack Horenberger Field in Bloomington, Illinois.

The Titans will first face off against their CCIW rival North Central College on Tuesday, April 8, at 5 p.m. The historical record for these two teams shows a tight competition with Illinois Wesleyan leading 67-52, but North Central has been victorious in six out of their last ten encounters. Their last meeting saw a 4-2 win for the Titans on April 8, 2024.

On Wednesday, April 9, the Titans will take on Monmouth College at 6 p.m. They hold a 14-2 all-time series lead against Monmouth, with the last game ending in a close 9-8 victory for Illinois Wesleyan on April 14, 2024.

Illinois Wesleyan showcased strong performances last week, notably with Cole Shamhart playing a critical role in their sweep against Elmhurst University. The Titans excel in batting within the CCIW with a leading average of .345. Individual players such as Cade Tomhave and Justin Gadomski stand out in the conference, with Tomhave holding the highest batting average and on-base percentage, while Gadomski leads in hits and doubles.

Junior pitcher Jake Pullam has been efficient on the mound, maintaining the lowest ERA in the CCIW at 2.33.
