The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team retained its position as the No. 4 ranked team in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll. The poll, released by the Golf Coaches Association of America, showed that the team gathered a total of 322 points.
Washington & Lee ascended to the top ranking, receiving 10 first-place votes and accumulating 370 points, moving up from their previous position at No. 2. Methodist ranked second with a total of 363 points, backed by the remaining five first-place votes. Emory University entered the top three with 337 points, rising from the fifth spot, while Illinois Wesleyan and Sewanee completed the top five.
The Illinois Wesleyan Titans recently claimed their third tournament victory of the season at the IWU Invite, which took place on April 4-5. They have also achieved wins at the Wabash Invite and the Heartland Invite and secured a second-place finish in the NCAA Division III Preview last September.
The Titans are preparing for their next challenge at the Cochran Collegiate, scheduled for April 14-15. The event will be hosted by Rhodes College at the Colonial Country Club in Memphis, Tennessee.
