The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team, ranked fourth nationally, completed the first 36 holes at the Cochran Collegiate on Monday, April 14. The tournament, held at Colonial Country Club in Memphis, Tennessee, sees IWU in fifth place with a total score of 612 as they prepare for the final round.

Senior Quinn Clifford from Chicago, Illinois, and a Brother Rice alumnus, currently leads his team. Clifford recorded rounds of 76 in succession, placing him eight-over par and tied for 11th overall.

Juniors Juney Bai from Mokena, Illinois, and Michael Spitzer from Hinsdale, Illinois, are both in the top-25 as well. They are tied for 24th place with scores of 154.

The team standings have Babson leading with a score of 599, closely followed by Lynchburg with 601, and Oglethorpe with 603. Lynchburg's Edward Coffren leads the individual player standings with a score of 146.

The third and final round is set for Tuesday, April 15.
