Illinois State track and field team finishes strong at Bryan Clay Invitational

The Illinois State track and field team concluded their participation at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California. The team competed in the men's and women's 1500-meter races, showcasing notable performances.

In the men's 1500-meter race, junior Yusuf Baig led the Illinois State athletes with a time of 3:47.37. Following him, sophomore Kane Shields set his personal best with a time of 3:48.49. Freshman Julian Baker completed the race with a time of 3:50.01.

The women's events saw four Redbird runners achieving personal bests in the 1500-meter races. Sophomore Grace Erb was the top finisher among her teammates, completing the race in 4:30.49. Freshman Astrid Van Breedam clocked a time of 4:32.95. Sophomore Colleen Zeibert recorded a time of 4:33.19, while junior Maggie Reed finished in 4:33.37.

Illinois State's athletes demonstrated exceptional performance, marking new personal achievements during the Bryan Clay Invitational.
