The Illinois State men's golf team is set to compete in the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championship, aiming for its second title in three years. The event will take place from Sunday, April 20, to Tuesday, April 22, at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club in Iowa.

Participating teams include Illinois State, ranked 131 nationally, Southern Illinois, Drake, Valparaiso, Murray State, Belmont, Northern Iowa, Bradley, Missouri State, and Evansville. Illinois State's lineup comprises players TJ Barger, Alex McCulla, Will Troy, Pietro Pontiggia, and Max Faucquez, with specific tee times assigned to each.

The Des Moines Golf and Country Club, known for its challenging courses designed by Pete Dye, will host the tournament. The Illinois State men's golf team has a strong history at the MVC Championship, holding six previous wins. Two years ago, the team recorded a tournament score of 836, the second lowest in the tournament's history.

The team will aim to replicate its past successes as it faces strong competition from other schools in the conference.
