Eleven players from the Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team, ranked fourth nationally, are set to compete in the Take Back the Night Challenge. The event will take place from April 25 to April 26 at Red Tail Run and South Side Country Club, hosted by Millikin University.
The Titans will enter the tournament with two teams, labeled as 'A' and 'B', along with one individual. A total of 112 competitors will represent various institutions including Adrian, Calvin, Carthage, Hanover, Hope, Illinois College, Lake Forest, Millikin, Mississippi College for Women, North Central, North Park, Spalding, St. Mary's of the Woods, Wabash, Wheaton, and UW-Eau Claire.
Illinois Wesleyan's 'A' team will be formed by seniors Griffin Pohl from Western Springs and Quinn Clifford from Chicago. They will be joined by juniors Michael Spitzer from Hinsdale, Juney Bai from Mokena, and Aidan Healy from New Lenox. Additionally, the 'B' team consists of freshmen Pablo Castro from Palatine and Michael O'Keefe from Chicago, alongside juniors Myles Lahart from Park Ridge, Nate Bibbey from Oak Park, and Josh Pehl from Sugar Grove. Freshman Lane Ludwig from Effingham will compete individually.
The event is scheduled to start on Friday, April 25, with competitors beginning at 12:30 p.m. The second round will commence on Saturday, April 26, at 9 a.m.
