Senator Balkema hosts Youth Advisory Council at the Capitol

State Senator Chris Balkema recently hosted a Youth Advisory Council at the Capitol. The event welcomed students from various schools within the 53rd Senate District, with many attendees coming from the 106th House District.

Senator Balkema expressed enthusiasm about the meeting and emphasized the importance of engaging young people in the legislative process. "I was happy to meet with them and show them the House Floor!" he stated.

The Youth Advisory Council aims to provide students with an understanding of governmental operations and inspire civic engagement.
