The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team concluded its season in the quarterfinals of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament. The match, held on Thursday, May 1, saw Illinois Wesleyan fall 4-0 to Carthage College.
Illinois Wesleyan finished its season with an overall record of 5-14, while Carthage College improved to a record of 18-6. Carthage will face the winner of the contest between Augustana College and Millikin University in the upcoming match.
In the doubles play, juniors Ian Turnbull and Ben Vigneri were leading in their match with a score of 4-3 when it was abandoned. Illinois Wesleyan did not secure any wins in singles play, leading to a 4-0 defeat.
Ryan McCoy's career with the team concluded with this loss, marking the end of his fifth year. Head Coach Sam Totten plans to return six team members for the 2025-26 season.
