The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) has released its 2025 women's soccer preseason coaches poll. Illinois Wesleyan University was selected to finish eighth in the conference, receiving 21 points in the voting process.
North Central, last year's CCIW Tournament champion, led the poll with all eight possible first-place votes and a total of 64 points. Carroll University, which won the regular season title in 2024, was ranked second with 51 points. Millikin secured third place with 49 points.
Wheaton took fourth place with 43 points and received one first-place vote. Elmhurst finished fifth in the poll with 37 points. Augustana (25), North Park (24), Illinois Wesleyan (21), and Carthage (10) completed the rankings.
Voting for the poll is conducted by head women’s soccer coaches from each school in the conference. Coaches rank the other eight teams based on predicted finish, assigning points in reverse order; nine points for a first-place vote, eight for second, and so on. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own teams.
Illinois Wesleyan will start its season at Neis Field on Friday, August 29 at 5 p.m., facing Simpson. The complete schedule for IWU women's soccer is available online.
