Illinois State University's soccer team is set to play against IU-Indy at Adelaide Street Field on Thursday evening, with the match scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and available for streaming on ESPN+.

The Redbirds come into this game after securing their second win of the season, defeating UT Martin 1-0 last Sunday. Freshman Rylann Law scored her second career collegiate goal in the 77th minute, assisted by senior Sophia Skoubis, who registered her first career assist in only her second appearance for Illinois State.

With Sunday's shutout over UT Martin, Illinois State achieved back-to-back shutout victories for the first time under head coach Raleigh DeRose, now in her second year. This marks the program's first consecutive shutouts since the 2020-21 season.

Sophomore Kaya Durkee played a key role in defense during these matches and was named Missouri Valley Conference Defender of the Week by the league office on Tuesday.

IU-Indy enters Thursday's contest following a 1-0 loss to Ball State last Sunday. The Jaguars are led by first-year head coach Angela Berry White, who returned to college coaching after spending more than a decade at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School. During her tenure there, she compiled a record of 168-49-23 and earned both a MaxPreps National title and an IHSAA State Championship in 2015. White has also served as an assistant coach at Butler and Indiana earlier in her career.

Angela Berry White was inducted as the first female member of the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame. She played two years with the United States Women's National Team alongside Mia Hamm and Julie Foudy.

Thursday’s game will be the fifth meeting between Illinois State and IU-Indy; each team has won twice in previous matchups. Their last encounter was in 2019 when Illinois State secured a 1-0 victory at Adelaide Street Field.
