Week two of Titan Table Talk focused on the early performances of several Illinois Wesleyan University athletic teams. Host Matt Sosler began by interviewing head football coach Jared Williamson, who discussed the team’s close loss to Central College of Iowa and outlined their plans for improvement during a week two bye. “We start things off with Coach Williamson, who looks back at the team's close loss to Central College of Iowa. He shares his thoughts on how the Titans looked in week one and what the focus will be heading into their week two bye,” said Sosler.
The episode continued with Maya Flemming and Ellen Dahlquist from the women’s soccer team. They reflected on starting their season against challenging opponents and spoke about securing a win over Illinois College as a way to build momentum for future matches. Men’s soccer captains Nick McCully and Jerry Smazil were also featured. They described their successful 2-0-1 start to the season, including key victories in Kentucky and shared insights into assuming leadership roles within their squad. As Sosler stated, “Then we shift over to men's soccer with Nick and Jerry. They talk about the team's hot start to the season, their trip to Kentucky and the fun experiences they had off the field, and what it means to step into leadership roles this year.”
The episode concluded with women’s volleyball head coach Kim Nelson-Brown and senior player Hannah Tellor following a recent trip to Texas. The pair discussed highlights from traveling with the team, celebrated what has become one of the program's best starts in its history, and previewed upcoming games for fans looking forward to continued success. “We close the episode with Hannah and Coach Nelson-Brown, fresh off a trip to Texas.
