Illinois State men’s golf travels to Colorado for Ram Masters Invitational

The Illinois State men's golf team will compete in the 2025 Ram Masters Invitational in Fort Collins, Colorado. The event is hosted by Colorado State and will take place at the Fort Collins Country Club from September 11 to September 12.

Illinois State enters the tournament after a top-10 finish at the Island Resort Intercollegiate. The Redbirds are set to face a strong field that includes programs such as the University of Colorado and Long Beach State.

This year’s participants include teams with final rankings ranging from Colorado (32) and Long Beach State (33) to Weber State (243). Other schools competing are Wyoming, Utah Valley, Utah State, Utah Tech, CSU Fullerton, UC San Diego, Sacramento State, UC Davis, Wichita State, Denver, UC Santa Barbara, and CSU Northridge.

Representing Illinois State will be TJ Barger, Max Faucquez, Francis Bautista, Aiden Cudney, and Pietro Pontiggia.

Illinois State last played in this event in 2021 when they tied for sixth among sixteen teams. Previous results show varying placements since their second-place finish in 2018.

The tournament course is an 18-hole facility with both indoor and outdoor practice areas. The venue offers amenities for players of all skill levels including lessons and professional fittings.
