The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team will play its first away match of the season against Augustana College on Saturday, September 13. The Collegiate Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) matchup is set to take place at Lincoln Park in Rock Island, Illinois, with the first serve scheduled for 11 a.m.
In their CCIW opener on September 10 against North Central, freshman Elana Religioso secured the Titans' only win at the sixth-singles position with a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Alexa Zaskowski.
The Titans have not won a duel against Augustana in their last 12 meetings. In their previous encounter last September, Augustana defeated IWU 7-0. The Titans managed one win in doubles as Amber Ehrlich and Olivia Bell claimed a 6-4 victory at the top spot.
Augustana enters this match after tying for seventh place at the Warhawk Invite and earning a dual-match win over North Park on September 6 by a score of 4-3.
Illinois Wesleyan's scheduled match against Elmhurst on Friday, September 12 has been postponed. A new date for this match has yet to be announced.
