For the third time in its history, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team has entered the top-10 of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Coaches Poll. The latest rankings, released Tuesday, September 16, place the Titans at No. 10, tying their highest position ever and marking their first appearance in the poll's top tier since 2018.

The Titans have started their season with a 7-0 record, which is their best opening to date. Their most recent victory was a sweep against DePauw University on Wednesday, September 10—making it six consecutive sweeps for Illinois Wesleyan. This win contributed to their rise from a previous ranking of 14th.

In this week's AVCA poll, UW-Whitewater moved into the No. 1 spot after Wittenberg ended Juniata's 103-match winning streak; Juniata dropped to fourth place as a result. La Verne holds second place, followed by UW-Oshkosh in third and East Texas Baptist rounding out the top five.

Illinois Wesleyan will play its College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin opener at Wheaton College on Wednesday, September 17. After that match, they will return home to host IWU Tournament II on Friday and Saturday, September 19-20. The tournament at Shirk Center will feature Wittenberg, Rose-Hulman, and Coe alongside Illinois Wesleyan.
