The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team earned a 7-0 victory over Monmouth College on Tuesday, September 16, in Monmouth, Illinois. With this win, the Titans improved their season record to 3-2 while Monmouth dropped to 0-6.

Illinois Wesleyan secured the doubles point by winning two out of three matches. Sophomores Katie Van Heuklon and Gabi Lipske defeated Natalie Holst and Alayna McKinley with a score of 6-0 at the No. 2 position. Freshmen Adia Douglas and Elana Religioso also won their match at No. 3 doubles, defeating Kimber Calvert and Tiah Riggs by the same margin.

In singles competition, Illinois Wesleyan swept all six matches. Junior Amber Ehrlich won against Ivana Stefanova at the top singles spot with scores of 6-2, 6-3. At No. 2 singles, Lipske beat Natalie Labicki in a close match that ended 6-2, 0-6, 10-8. Van Heuklon won her match at No. 3 singles against Calvert with a score of 6-0, 6-2. Junior Olivia Bell secured a win over Holst at No. 4 singles with scores of 6-3, 6-4. Douglas took down McKinley at No. 5 singles with a result of 6-0, 6-2, while Religioso closed out the sweep with a straight-set win over Riggs at No. 6 singles (6-1, 6-1).

The Titans will participate in the ITA Regional Tournament this weekend before returning to dual-match play against Millikin University on Tuesday, September 23 in Decatur.
