Senior outside hitter Taylor French has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Hitter of the Week for the second time this season, marking the 11th such honor in her career. The announcement was made by the league on Monday, September 22.

French played a key role in leading the Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team to four consecutive wins last week, three of which were sweeps. These victories have helped the Titans maintain their unbeaten record, moving to 11-0 and continuing what has been described as a historic start for the program.

During the week, French recorded 62 kills with a .402 attack percentage, averaging 4.77 kills per set. She also contributed defensively with 37 digs (2.85 per set), along with eight aces (0.62 per set), two blocks, and two assists. Her performance earned her MVP honors at IWU Tournament II after guiding her team to three wins at home.

The week began with a conference opener against Wheaton on September 17, where French tallied 11 kills on a .348 hitting percentage, nine digs, and two aces in a sweep. On Friday night against Wittenberg, she finished with 18 kills on a .485 clip, four aces, six digs, and one block for a total of 23.5 points. Against Rose-Hulman on Saturday afternoon, she had 15 kills while hitting .467 with only one attack error and added nine digs. Later that evening versus Coe, French posted 17 kills (.317), 13 digs for a double-double performance, two assists, two aces, and one block.

Illinois Wesleyan will resume CCIW play on Wednesday night, September 24, hosting Elmhurst University at Shirk Center. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
