Illinois State Representative Jason Bunting and his staff recently met with three advisory committees as the harvest season approaches. The meetings began with the Local Government Committee, where participants discussed community concerns and looked into funding opportunities.

The next meeting was with the Education Committee. Topics included enrollment trends, displaced families, Title program funding, employee benefits, and challenges in filling specialized positions.

The final discussion took place with the Economic Development Group. This session focused on business growth, the housing market, and an initiative called the Bunting Business Blitz.

Bunting stated that he and his team plan to visit as many businesses across the district as possible. He invited suggestions from constituents for potential visits or hosts: "We’re aiming to tour as many businesses across the district as possible — if you have suggestions for places we should visit or would like to host, please let us know!"

Bunting was elected to represent Illinois' 106th House District in 2023 after Thomas Bennett stepped down from the position.
