The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team will play a non-conference match against Concordia University Chicago on Sunday, September 28, in River Forest, Illinois. The match is set to begin at noon at the CUC Courts.

Illinois Wesleyan, currently holding a 4-2 record, comes into the match after a strong performance against Millikin University. In that contest, the Titans won all doubles matches. Katie Van Heuklon and Gabi Lipske defeated Isabella Griffiths and Sarah Parsons 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. Adia Douglas and Elana Religioso secured the point at No. 2 doubles with a 6-0 win over Kristen Armstrong and Tessa Koehler. Millikin forfeited the No. 3 doubles match.

In singles play against Millikin, Illinois Wesleyan swept all six matches. Amber Ehrlich won her top singles match against Griffiths 6-1, 6-0. Lipske earned a win over Addison Ross by the same score at No. 2 singles. Van Heuklon beat Armstrong in straight sets at No. 3 singles (6-4, 6-4). Olivia Bell claimed victory over Parsons (6-3, 6-1) at No. 4 singles, while Douglas defeated Koehler (6-2, 6-3) at No. 5 singles; there was also a forfeit by Millikin at No. 6 singles.

Last season when these teams met, Illinois Wesleyan won all three doubles matches with combinations including Van Heuklon and Lipske as well as Bell paired with Kate Christian and Angela Zatloka teamed up with Carly Edwards.

In last year's singles competition versus Concordia Chicago, Illinois Wesleyan players Ehrlich, Lipske, Van Heuklon, Bell, Edwards and Zatloka each recorded wins.

Concordia Chicago enters Sunday's match with an overall record of zero wins and six losses this season after their most recent defeat to Wartburg College on September 21 by a score of 7-0. Before facing Illinois Wesleyan on Sunday, Concordia Chicago will play Illinois College on Saturday.
