Illinois State University's soccer team will host Southern Illinois at Adelaide Street Field on Sunday afternoon. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

This meeting marks the sixth time the two teams have faced each other, with Illinois State leading the all-time series 3-1-1. Their last encounter ended in a scoreless draw in Carbondale, marking the first tie between the programs. Illinois State remains unbeaten against Southern Illinois when playing at home, holding a 2-0-0 record in Normal.

The Redbirds are coming off a 0-0 draw against Valparaiso at Brown Field on Thursday evening. This result marked their fourth consecutive draw, setting a new program record for most consecutive draws. It also represents the first time in school history that Illinois State has recorded back-to-back draws during conference play.

With Thursday's shutout, Illinois State notched its sixth clean sheet of the season, which is the highest number achieved under head coach Raleigh DeRose. Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Madi Valenti earned her tenth career shutout during this match, becoming only the seventh goalkeeper in program history to reach double-digit shutouts and tying Andrea Shaw (2003-06) for this accomplishment.

Southern Illinois arrives after securing its second straight win to start conference play, defeating Evansville 2-1 on Thursday evening. The Salukis are led by third-year head coach Graeme Orr, who has compiled a 15-20-12 record with Southern Illinois.
