The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team is set to complete its fall season with a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) match against Elmhurst University. The match will take place at the Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Illinois, on Wednesday, October 15, with the first serve scheduled for 3 p.m.
In their previous contest, the Titans (6-5 overall, 2-5 CCIW) lost narrowly to North Park University by a score of 4-3 on Saturday, October 11. During that match, Illinois Wesleyan swept all three doubles matches. Juniors Amber Ehrlich and Olivia Bell secured a 7-5 win over Emilia Sand and Katarina Sandberg. Sophomores Gabi Lipske and Katie Van Heuklon won their match 6-4 against Alexandra Pugachova and Thea Gifvars at No. 2 doubles. Freshmen Elana Religioso and Adia Douglas claimed victory over Jessica Dudas and Holly Chleboun at No. 3 doubles. In singles play, both Religioso and Douglas earned wins for the Titans.
Elmhurst enters the upcoming match with an overall record of 0-7 and a conference record of 0-6 after losing to North Central College by a score of 7-0 on Saturday, October 11. Illinois Wesleyan has defeated Elmhurst in their last three meetings, including a shutout win (9-0) during the 2023–24 season and another shutout (7-0) earlier this year.
