The Illinois State Redbirds are preparing for their Homecoming Week, with a key football game against Youngstown State scheduled for Saturday at Hancock Stadium. The Redbirds, ranked No. 9 in the FCS, will face off against the No. 25 Penguins on Jay and Lori Bergman Field.
Ahead of the matchup, head coach Brock Spack will appear on The Brock Spack Show at Schooners in Bloomington on Thursday at 6 p.m. The event is presented by Redbird Ale from DESTIHL. Coach Spack will discuss last week's win over Murray State and look ahead to the upcoming game against Youngstown State with play-by-play announcer John Fitzgerald and color analyst Ted Schmitz.
Senior fullback/tight end Scotty Presson Jr. will join as this week's player guest. Coach Spack will also interview Schmitz, who is set to be inducted into the ISU Athletics Percy Family Hall of Fame as the 2025 Campbell 'Stretch' Miller Award recipient.
Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, near Clinton Boulevard. Those unable to attend can listen to the show on WJBC 1230 AM or stream it live on GoRedbirds.com and The Varsity Network. Portions of the show will also air on the Illinois State Athletics Facebook page.
