The Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team has maintained its position at No. 6 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Poll, according to an announcement by the organization on Tuesday, October 21. The team also placed No. 12 in the season’s first National Power Index (NPI) rankings.

During the previous week, Illinois Wesleyan recorded three wins against North Central, Cornell, and UW-Stevens Point, with its only loss coming to UW-Eau Claire, now ranked No. 4. This performance allowed the team to keep its highest ranking in program history.

The top three positions in the AVCA poll remain unchanged, with La Verne at No. 1, followed by East Texas Baptist and UW-Oshkosh. UW-Eau Claire moved up from seventh to fourth place, and Juniata stayed at No. 5.

The NPI, used by the NCAA to help determine postseason selections, lists East Texas Baptist University as No. 1, followed by La Verne, UW-Eau Claire, Colby, and UW-Oshkosh to complete the top five.

Illinois Wesleyan is currently the only team from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) to appear in the top 25 of both the AVCA and NPI rankings. The Titans are scheduled to play against 13th-ranked Washington University (WashU) on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
