Students from St. Paul School in Odell visited the Illinois Capitol during the fall veto session on Wednesday. They were welcomed by state officials and had the opportunity to learn about the functions of state government.

Jason Bunting, who was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois' 106th House District in 2023, greeted the students. He succeeded Thomas Bennett as state representative.

"It was a pleasure welcoming the students from St. Paul School in Odell to the Capitol during the fall veto session on Wednesday! Your curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about our state government made the day even brighter," Bunting said. "Thank you for taking the time to visit. We hope you enjoyed exploring the Capitol!"

Bunting has represented his district since 2023, following his election that year.
