Three members of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team have been named to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) All-Conference Teams, according to an announcement from the league office on Friday, October 31. Sophomore Liza Wiley was selected for the first team, while senior Bree Cordray and junior Ava Mapes were chosen for the second team.

Illinois Wesleyan completed conference play with a 4-3-1 record, earning the right to host as the fourth seed in the upcoming league tournament. This marks their best conference performance since winning both the regular season and tournament titles in 2022.

Wiley, who was a second team selection last year, moved up to first team after starting all eight league games as a midfielder. She recorded six points during conference play and scored twice against Augustana on October 15. Wiley also provided two assists—one in a win over Elmhurst on October 18 and another in a close loss to North Central on October 22.

Mapes received her first All-CCIW honor after scoring four goals in seven league games this season. She also contributed three assists, ranking fourth in the conference. With 11 points overall, Mapes led her team’s offense.

Cordray served as captain this season and started seven of eight league games as a defender. She anchored a defense that allowed only seven goals during her appearances and helped secure four shutouts for Illinois Wesleyan.

Sophomore goalkeeper Vanessa Gray was recognized as Illinois Wesleyan's RESPECT award honoree.

Illinois Wesleyan is set to host Wheaton College on Saturday, November 1 in the CCIW Tournament Quarterfinals at Neis Field with kickoff scheduled for noon.

Other CCIW honors went to Jordan Lange (Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year), Kassandra Salviola (Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year), Lily Mattison (Goalkeeper of the Year), Sofia Svensson (First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year), and North Park’s coaching staff (Coaching Staff of the Year).

The full list of All-CCIW First Team includes players from Carroll, Carthage, Elmhurst, Illinois Wesleyan, North Central, North Park, and Wheaton. The Second Team features athletes from Carthage, Elmhurst, Illinois Wesleyan, Millikin, North Central, North Park, and Wheaton. The CCIW RESPECT Award was given to one player from each school.
