Chatsworth Fire Protection District responded to 21 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the East Central Reporter.

The calls in Chatsworth included 18 fires - nine structure fires, two vehicle fires and seven other fires.

In all, the department saw $13,700 in fire loss - or about $761 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related death and two civilian non-fire deaths.
