Report: Tri Valley spent $11,321 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Tri Valley Community Unit School District 3 is up 1 percent from five years ago, according to a McLean County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Mclean County school district spent $11,156 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,321 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1000 to 1077.

Tri Valley's spending in 2016-17 was 13 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
