Report: Odell spent $13,083 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Odell Community Consolidated School District 435 is up 13 percent from five years ago, according to a McLean County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Livingston County school district spent $11,628 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,083 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 179 to 145.

Odell's spending in 2016-17 was 1 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
