Odell Community Consolidated School District 435 Board met Nov. 14.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
Board President Randy Pagel called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.
PRESENT: Randy Pagel, Chad Gragert, Mark Tissiere, Emily Gall, Kate Noles, and Kevin Roe.
ABSENT: Bonnie Bolen
Also in attendance: Mark Hettmansberger, Superintendent; Sue Francis, Secretary
NOTICES, COMMUNICATIONS OR RECOGNITIONS
Leo Johnson was in attendance to report to the Board the figures and benefits of the Enterprise Zone to the school district.
Included in the board packet were The Odell Rams News and a letter from the ROE office congratulating Supt. Hettmansberger for being nominated for principal appreciation week.
Supt. Hettmansberger had two FOIA requests.
A handout of the Odell Grade School app. was presented to the Board.
John Ribordy and Jenna Schroen attended the meeting.

Motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Emily Gall, seconded by Kevin Roe as presented. Action: Passed.
APPROVAL OF OCTOBER BILLS AND PAYROLL
Motion to approve the October bills and payroll was made by Chad Gragert, seconded by Kate Noles. Roll call, yeas-Randy Pagel, Chad Gragert, Mark Tissiere, Emily Gall, Kate Noles, and Kevin Roe. Action: Passed.
APPROVAL OF THE PURCHASE OF SCHOOL BUS
Motion to approve the purchase of 2019 IC/CE 72 Passenger School Bus was made by Mark Tissiere and seconded by Kevin Roe. Roll call, yeas—Randy Pagel, Chad Gragert, Mark Tissiere, Emily Gall, Kate Noles, and Kevin Roe. Action: Passed.
APPROVAL OF VOLLEYBALL COACHES
Motion to approve Tiffany Dukes and Samantha Battle as volleyball coaches was made by Kate Noles and seconded by Kevin Roe. Roll call, yeas—Randy Pagel, Chad Gragert, Mark Tissiere, Emily Gall, Kate Noles, and Kevin Roe. Action: Passed.
APPROVAL OF VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT CHEERLEADING COACH
The motion failed due to lack of a motion.
ANNOUNCEMENT AND DISCUSSION
1) Supt. Hettmansberger discussed the school board convention with The Board.
2) Supt. Hettmansberger reported to the Board on the Transportation Meeting that was held.
3) Supt. Hettmansberger handed out the first reading PRESS updates to the Board.
4) Supt. Hettmansberger presented information on the Tax Levy. The Board will vote on the levy at the December 12th board meeting.
5) Supt. Hettnansberger discussed with the Board the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The school district received a commendable rating.
6) Supt. Hettmansberger reported to the Board the lack of interest of softball for the next school year in the district. A survey was taken with the students and the numbers were very low. If there is no more interest for softball by March the program will be ended.
7) Supt. Hettmansberger discussed with the Board on the School Board Election. There are 3 four year term and one two year term seats open.
