Report: Odell spent $15,659 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Odell Community Consolidated School District 435 is up 39.5 percent from five years ago, according to a McLean County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Livingston County school district spent $11,225 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $15,659 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 168 to 158.

Odell's spending in 2017-18 was 17.4 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
