City of Fairbury Planning Commission met April 10.

The Planning Commission held a meeting at 12 Noon. Members present were Chairman Rick Wilson, Ron Schlipf, Michael Blackwell, Leroy McPherson, Tracy Taylor. Also in attendance was City Superintendent Brett Ashburn and Stephanie Meints the Planning Commission Secretary.
Review of minutes from March 13, 2019: Motion by Taylor, second by McPherson to approve. Motion carried unanimously.
Rick Wilson gave updates on the shop local campaign. He stated the importance of shopping local and ways they were going to advertise. There is a committee being formed with members of different affiliations, such as church, school, medical, etc. This committee will brainstorm ideas and come up with ways to get the word out about shopping local. They will also inform the community of the importance of shopping local and all the businesses Fairbury and surrounding areas have to offer.
Motion to adjourn: Schlipf, second by Taylor to approve. Motion carried unanimously.
