The data shows that the three released offenders living in the Saybrook zip code were men. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 40-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Nathaniel Nowlin. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2012, when he was 24 years old. He is now 31.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
