A McLean County Unit District No. 5 Board of Education meeting was held beginning at 4:31 p.m. at the District Office, 1809 W. Hovey Avenue, Normal, Illinois.
1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Members present: Alan Kalitzky, Taunia Leffler, Meta Mickens-Baker (arrived at 4:38p.m.), Kelly Pyle, Amy Roser, Mike Trask and President Barry Hitchins. Members absent: None. Also present: Clerk of the Board Kim Stewart and Director of Communications/Community

4. REPORT
A. School Exec Connect Superintendent Search Profile
Diane Robertson and Jill Hawk presented the superintendent profile developed from meeting with focus groups and open forums. The consultants will develop questions and conduct interviews with the candidates based on the profile. The first group that was reported on was from the 15 focus groups and open forums of over 208 attendees. They reported on the district and community strengths and challenges. The consultants reported that there were over 1100 people who took the online survey. The information will be available on the Unit 5 website on October 31, 2019,
5. ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION
At 5:22 p.m. Leffler moved, Mickens-Baker seconded to move to adjourn to closed session to discuss the following matter according to the exceptions provided in the Open Meetings Act and specified as follows:
• 2(c)(16) Self-evaluation, practices and procedures or professional ethics, when meeting with a representative of a statewide association of which the public body is a member. Roll call: Ayes: Kalitzky, Leffler, Mickens-Baker, Pyle, Roser, Trask, Hitchins. Nays: None. Motion carried.
