O'Ctavia Fire Protection District-Cropsey responded to 14 calls in 2018 - 100 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Octavia-Cropsey included 14 fires - nine structure fires and five other fires.

In all, the department saw $3,000 in fire loss - or about $214 per fire.
