State Senator Chris Balkema and State Representative Dennis Tipsword are inviting residents of their districts to a Senior Expo. The event will take place at the Pontiac Parks & Recreation Center on Wednesday, August 6, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Attendees can access services such as blood pressure screenings, prescription drug disposals, personal hygiene collections, and I-Cash claiming.

The expo will also provide information on various topics including assisted living, organ donation, nuance glasses, veteran services, homebound book delivery, and Alzheimer’s programs. "It is extremely important for services like these to be easily accessible to the public," said Senator Balkema. "It’s a pleasure to offer these free services for the shared constituencies we serve."

The event will feature over 30 participants including organizations like the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs, Meridian Health, Livingston County Health Department, Office of the Illinois Secretary of State, OSF Healthcare, Pontiac Public Library, Alzheimer’s Association, VITAS Healthcare among others.
