City of Virginia Police Chief Bryce Kennedy is facing an investigation into alleged inappropriate messages sent over social media to a minor.
Cass County Sheriff Devron Ohrn told WAND News that the investigation is ongoing and has not yet been turned over to the Cass County state’s attorney to decide whether charges will be filed. Ohrn did not confirm the specific nature of the messages at the heart of the investigation, and only told WAND News that they had been sent over social media.
Though WAND News attempted to seek comment from City of Virginia officials, including every City Council member and Mayor Steve Sudbrink, they received either no response or comments from Council members that they could not comment on the investigation.
WAND News also reported that a phone number for Kennedy was no longer in service and that it had yet to be determined whether Kennedy was still active as City of Virginia chief of police.
