City of Fairbury City Council met July 20.

1. Call to order – Mayor Slagel called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
2. Mayor Slagel directed the Clerk to call roll and the following members of Council answered present: Gary Norris, Steve Endres, Charles Hoselton, Jon Kinate, Bruce Weber, and Gerald Hoffman. James Tipton and Bill Schmidgall were absent.

C. Consideration to approve amended pay ordinance – WILL BE ACTED ON AFTER EXECUTIVE SESSION
D. Motion by Weber, second by Kinate to approve the agreement with Metro-Ag, Inc. for lime sludge removal and application. Motion carried 6-0. YES-Norris Endres Hoselton Kinate Weber Hoffman
E. Motion by Kinate, second by Endres to approve Ordinance No. 2022-11 amending Chapter 6: Refuse & Garbage in the Municipal Code Book of the City of Fairbury. Motion carried 6-0. YES-Norris Endres Hoselton Kinate Weber Hoffman

Motion by Kinate, second by Hoselton to enter Open Session at 7:30 p.m.
ACTION AFTER EXECUTIVE SESSION
10 C. Mayor Slagel authored the motion which reads:
Motion to approve the amended pay ordinance as per the provided worksheet, column number 2 for employees, except for managers, column number 1 and noting the star asterisk at the bottom is approved also.
Motion by Hoselton, second by Weber to approve the Mayor’s motion above. Motion carried 6-0. YES-Norris Endres Hoselton Kinate Weber Hoffman
