McLean County Unit School District 5 Facilities Committee met July 29.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. Roll Call

(Attendees are listed for each location)

2. NCHS Portables

7:00 am- 7:18 am

Attendees: Dr. Weikle, Alan Kalitzky, Jeremy DeHaai, Kentrica Coleman, Amy Rosner, Dr. Adam Zbrozek, Courtney McClure, Joe Adelman, Tom Rockwell Joe and Tom reviewed the items listed below and dates to be completed before the start of school on 8/17/22.

● The project is 95% complete.

● Installing fire alarm system.

● Finalizing punch list items.

● IT will be installing S2 card readers and smart boards.

● Tentatively scheduling ROE walk through for 8/8 - 8/12.

● Continued to work on the punch list items.

● The carpet is scheduled to arrive the week of 8/1 - 8/5 and will be installed as soon as it arrives. We are having supply chain issues.

● The ramps and steps will be completed the week of 8/1 - 8/5.

● Fire alarm installed 7/28. Johnson Controls will do the inspection 8/4.

● Preparing for the ROE inspection the week of 8/8 - 8/12.

● Working with Dave Schumer on installing a separate S2 card reader at the door the students will enter and exit the building from the portable 8/8 - 8/12.

● Smart boards installed 8/8 - 8/12.

● The security fence will be completed after the S2 card reader is installed.

Hoose - Natural Playground

7:33 am - 8:33 am

Attendees: Dr. Weikle, Alan Kalitzky, Jeremy DeHaai, Kentrica Coleman, Amy Rosner, Adam Zbrozek, Courtney McClure, Gina Tenuta, Austin Wallace, Joe Adelman, Tom Rockwell

● Austin Wallace - Site Superintendent, Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds provided a walking tour of the construction site. He also provided a layout showing what the completed project will look like. (see attached) Joe and Tom asked the group to review the items below.

3. Summer Building Improvement & Life Safety Projects Joe Adelman, Tom Rockwell Joe will update and review the projects that have been completed. As of 7/29/22 after eight of nine weeks, we are 90% complete on our projects and cleaning.

4. Update Air Quality Efficiencies & Control Work

● NCHS - 98% complete - see attached graph

● NCWHS - 80% complete

● Parkside Elem - 75% complete

● Pepper Ridge - 70% complete

5. Donations

The Facility Committee recommended the donations go to the Board for final approval.

NCHS - A-Train is donating a shelter for the athletic walkway.

Northpoint - PTO is donating an updated sign.

6. Oakdale Front Lobby Remodel

8:40 am - 8:55 am - No Public Comments

Attendees: Dr. Weikle, Jeremy DeHaai, Joe Adelman, Tom Rockwell

Joe and Tom reviewed the items listed below

● Everything has been painted.

● Aluminum frames have been installed.

● Electrical trim out completed.

● By 7/20 the project is 80% complete.

● By 7/25 the glass will be installed in the frames, carpet installed, finish framing the window from the office.

● The new lobby furniture is scheduled to arrive 8/15 - 8/19.

● Glass to arrive 8/30, door to arrive 9/2; will be installed 9/5 - 9/9.

7. Public Comment

There was no public comment.

The meeting adjourned at 8:55AM.
