City of Lexington City Council met July 25

City of Lexington City Council met July 25.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Mayor Johansen

ROLL CALL: Roll call was taken to find the following physically present: Mayor Johansen, Alderman Mattingly, Alderwoman Wilson, Alderman Stover, Alderman Franklin and Alderman Richard. Alderman Little was absent.

ESTABLISHMENT OF A QUORUM: There being five aldermen present there was a quorum present.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA: The agenda was approved by a voice vote.

PROPOSED APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR 2022-2023: Ordinance 2022-6

DISCUSSION: Alderman Stover led this discussion. The appropriation ordinance figures come directly from the budget that was approved earlier in the year. Some numbers may look high but he made allowance for numbers he was not sure of due to a large appreciation.

Mayor Johansen added that they had to add an allowance for a storm tile on North Street in front of Lynette Leake’s house.

PUBLIC COMMENTS: None

ADJOURNMENT: Meeting was adjourned at 6:49 P.M.
