City of Fairbury City Council met Oct. 19.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
1. Call to order – Mayor Slagel called the meeting to order.
2. Mayor Slagel directed the Clerk to call roll and the following members of
Council answered present: Gary Norris, Steve Endres, Jon Kinate, Gerald Hoffman & Jim Tipton. Charles Hoselton, Bruce Weber and Bill Schmidgall were absent.
3. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag
4. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda – Motion by Kinate, second by Endres to approve the following items on the Consent Agenda:
A. Minutes from the October 5, 2022 council meeting
B. Voucher Invoice Register listing the bills
C. Treasurer’s Cash Report (second meeting of the month)
D. Check Register (second meeting of the month)

5. Mayor Slagel opened Public Comment and the following persons provided comments:
→ ESDA Director Deb Moran notified the City Council of a Disaster Tabletop Drill at the Fairgrounds on November 7th starting at 5:30 p.m. She then commented her opinion involving the recent departure of former City Clerk Nancy Widlacki.
