McLean County Times

There were 48 offenders living in McLean County released on parole during the second quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by McLean County Times.

The data shows 45 men and three women were released in McLean County. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2020, and the oldest was a 68-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2021.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Demetrious Kennedy. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2003 when he was 28 years old. He is now 48.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
