McLean County Unit School District 5 had the highest enrollment among McLean County districts, welcoming 12,393 students during the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51% of them were boys, and 49% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 60.4% of the McLean County Unit School District 5's total enrollment.

Among the eight districts in McLean County, Bloomington School District 87 ranked second in enrollment numbers with 4,982 students, while Olympia Community Unit School District 16 welcomed 1,706 students and ranked third in the 2021-22 school year.

In the previous school year, McLean County Unit School District 5 also had the highest number of students among McLean County districts.
