McLean County Land Use and Development Committee met Aug. 8.

The Land Use and Development Committee of the McLean County Board met on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in Room 404, Government Center, 115 E. Washington Street, Bloomington, Illinois.
Members Present: Chair Lea Cline, Members William Friedrich, George Wendt, Krystle Able, Beverly Bell and Adam Reeves
Members Absent: None
Other Board Members Present: None
Staff Present: Cassy Taylor, County Administrator, Cathy Dreyer, Assistant County Administrator, Anthony Grant, Assistant County Administrator; Trevor Sierra, First Assistant State’s Attorney – Civil Division; Taylor Williams, Assistant State’s Attorney Civil Division; Julie Morlock, Recording Secretary
Department Heads/Elected Officials Present: Phil Dick, Building and Zoning

Chair Cline called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. and declared a quorum.
Chair Cline presented the Land Use and Development Committee with the Consent agenda that contained the June 15, 2023, special meeting and July 5, 2023 regular meeting minutes and bills in the amount of $498.09 for approval.
Motion by Bell/Able to recommend approval of the Land Use and Development Committee June 15, 2023 special and July 15, 2023 regular meeting minutes and bills in the amount of $498.09.
Motion Carried.
Chair Cline confirmed with Ms. Taylor there were no members of the public or employees to appear before the Committee.
Chair Cline presented for action on behalf of Mr. Phil Dick, and the Building and Zoning Department a request by Matthew and Jacqueline Witte and Tyler Campbell for a waiver of preliminary plan requirements and approval of a one-lot subdivision final plat for the Witte Subdivision in case S-23-02. Mr. Dick provided arial photos, went over the plans and noted the Highway and Health Departments as well as the Road Commissioner have all approved the plans.
Motion by Friedrich/Able to recommend approval of request by Matthew and Jacqueline Witte and Tyler Campbell for a waiver of preliminary plan requirements and approval of a one-lot subdivision final plat for the Witte Subdivision in case S-23-02.
Motion Carried.
Chair Cline indicated the CO2 working group was still meeting to gather more information. Mr. Friedrich noted the Farm Bureau members were also meeting to discuss CO2 matters.
Chair Cline noted the next meeting would be Tuesday, September 5, 2023. She asked if anyone had any other business to come before the Committee; hearing nothing, she adjourned the meeting at 9:06 a.m.
