City of Fairbury City Council met Oct. 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

1. Call to order – Mayor Slagel called the meeting to order at 6:36 p.m.

2. Mayor Slagel directed the Clerk to call roll and the following members of Council answered present: Gary Norris, Steve Endres, & Jerry Hoffman. Charles Hoselton, Jon Kinate, Bruce Weber, Jim Tipton, and Bill Schmidgall were absent.

A quorum was not met. No business was done.

4. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda – No quorum was met

A. Minutes from the October 4, 2023, council meeting

B. Voucher Invoice Register listing the bills

C. Treasurer’s Cash Report (second meeting of the month)

5. Mayor Slagel opened Public Comment and the following persons provided comments:

➢ Deb Moran came to announce the Disaster Drill on November 20th at 6 p.m. at the Fire Department.
