The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team achieved a program record with three student-athletes receiving College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America At-Large honors on Wednesday, July 17. Junior Quinn Clifford from Chicago, Illinois, was named to the CSC Academic All-America First Team. Fifth-year Bobby Beaubien from Barrington, Illinois, and junior Griffin Pohl from Western Springs, Illinois, earned second and third team honors respectively.

Senior men's lacrosse defenseman Ethan Hart also made the CSC's Academic All-America At-Large list. With four selections in total, Illinois Wesleyan set a school record for the most at-large academic all-Americans in one year. The university also recorded ten CSC Academic All-America selections during the 2023-24 academic year, marking another school record.

Clifford repeated his prestigious honor by advancing to the first team after being named to the third team last spring. He is only the second multiple-time CSC Academic All-American in program history alongside Rob Wuethrich who received honors in 2020 and 2021. Clifford competed in 11 tournaments with five top-10 finishes and maintained a stroke average of 73.2 over 28 rounds while holding a perfect GPA of 4.00 as a business major.

Beaubien was recognized as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Golfer of the Year and was a GCAA PING Third Team All-American. He posted IWU's best scoring average of 72.8 strokes per round over 28 rounds across 11 tournaments.

Pohl achieved notable success by tying for third place at the NCAA Division III National Championship—the highest finish by an IWU golfer since 2012. He recorded a scoring average of 73.0 over 28 rounds and secured five top-five finishes.

In total, nine out of forty-five Division III Academic All-America selections were men's golf student-athletes this year. The CCIW had seven student-athletes honored with IWU leading with four selections followed by Augustana College with two and North Central College with one.

Illinois Wesleyan's all-time list of Academic All-Americans now stands at 160, placing it among the top-25 across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III and within the top-10 for Division III schools.
