Illinois Wesleyan announces men's basketball schedule for upcoming season

Illinois Wesleyan University head men's basketball coach Ron Rose unveiled the program's 2024-25 schedule on Monday, Aug. 5, in a sit-down with Bob Quillman. A 1993 IWU graduate, Quillman is the host of "The Q-Cast" and considered to be a "#d3hoops celebrity." The full schedule can be viewed online, while Ron Rose's full interview is included below.

The Titans are set for another rigorous schedule, beginning with the fifth annual Jack Sikma Hall of Fame Invitational, Nov. 8-9, inside the Shirk Center. The tournament will be sponsored by three-time First Team Academic All-America selection and 1977 Illinois Wesleyan graduate Bob Spear. It will feature IWU, California Lutheran, Calvin, and UW-Platteville. The Titans will face off against Cal Lutheran on Friday, Nov. 8, at 5 p.m., with a clash between Calvin and UWP set for 7 p.m. The winners will meet in the weekend's title game on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m., while the consolation final is set for 5 p.m.

Following the highly anticipated season-opening weekend, the Green and White will embark on a four-game non-conference road trip. The Titans will trek to UW-Stout on Nov. 16 for a 3 p.m. tipoff before taking part in Webster's Tournament from Nov. 22-23. The final game of the four-game stint pits IWU against Chicago on Nov. 27 in the Windy City.

Illinois Wesleyan begins the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin slate at home on Dec. 4 against Carthage. After traveling to Carroll on Dec. 7, Elmhurst (Dec. 15) and WashU (Dec.19) make trips to the Shirk Center.

The Titans' final games of the 2024 calendar year are slated to take place in Belton, Texas, where they will play in the Mary Hardin-Baylor Tournament from Dec.29-30.

IWU kicks off the new year with back-to-back CCIW road games: Illinois Wesleyan takes on Wheaton on Jan.4 in King Arena before battling North Park on Jan.8.

The remainder of the schedule includes home games against North Central (Jan .11), Augustana (Jan .22), Wheaton (Jan .25), Carroll (Jan .29), Millikin (Feb .15), and North Park (Feb .19), as well as five road contests.

The CCIW Tournament gets underway Feb .25 with the quarterfinals while the semifinal round is set for Feb .28.The league's championship game will be played Saturday , March1 ,withthe NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament scheduled for March7 -22 .
