BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The fifth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team begins its 2024-25 campaign on Monday, Sept. 9, with a single-day, 36-hole tournament hosted by Heartland Community College. The Heartland Invite will be played at Crestwicke Country Club.

Illinois Wesleyan will have two teams in the 11-team field. Playing on IWU's 'A' team are seniors Griffin Pohl (Western Springs, Ill.-Lyons Township) and Quinn Clifford (Chicago, Ill.-Brother Rice), along with juniors Aidan Healy (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln-Way West), Juney Bai (Mokena, Ill.-Lincoln-Way Central), and Myles Lahart (Park Ridge, Ill.-Maine South). The 'B' team will be comprised of juniors Michael Spitzer (Hinsdale, Ill.-Hinsdale Central), Quinn Henry (Homewood, Ill.-Homewood-Flossmoor), and Nate Bibbey (Oak Park, Ill.-Oak Park River Forest) as well as freshmen Pablo Castro (Palatine, Ill.-Palatine) and Michael O'Keefe (Chicago, Ill.-Mount Carmel).

IWU is the lone Division III school in the tournament as Heartland, Parkland, Illinois Central, Danville, Lewis & Clark, Lincoln Trail, Highland, and Madison round out the field.
