The Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team will face Elmhurst University in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match on Wednesday night, September 25. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at R.A. Faganel Hall.

The Titans, who hold an 8-5 record overall and are 1-0 in the CCIW, recently participated in the Aurora University Triangular. They lost to the University of Dubuque in five sets but swept Aurora to end the weekend. Junior Hannah Tellor from Metamora, Illinois, showed strong offensive skills with a career-high 15 kills against Dubuque and a team-high 12 kills on a .632 attack percentage against Aurora. Fellow junior Kannyn Boyd from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, recorded a career-best 33 digs in the match against Dubuque.

Junior Taylor French from Romeoville, Illinois, leads her team with 200 kills this season, placing her 15th nationally. She also ranks 20th across Division III with an average of 4.17 kills per set. Her total points (238) and points per set (4.96) rank her 12th and 14th respectively nationwide. Tellor leads the conference with a .379 attack percentage and has accumulated 111 kills so far this season.

Sophomore Sophia Feeney from Bloomington, Illinois; senior Abby Erdman from Aurora, Illinois; and fifth-year Jordan Pierce from Bonfield, Illinois have been key contributors to IWU's offense throughout the season. Feeney leads with 214 assists while Erdman follows with 155 assists and Pierce has contributed with 119 assists.

Defensively, Boyd leads her team with both total digs (167) and digs per set (4.77). French is second on the team for digs with a total of 150 averaging at about three per set followed by freshman Alysa Lawton from Elmhurst who has made significant contributions as well.

The upcoming game marks the teams' 52nd meeting since their first encounter in 1994. Historically IWU trails Elmhurst in their series but they have won nine out of their last ten matches against them including their last meeting on October 17 where they secured victory after five sets thanks to French’s impressive performance setting program records for points scored during that match.
