The Missouri Valley Conference has announced the 2024-2025 women's basketball conference schedule. Illinois State will play 10 games at CEFCU Arena.

The Redbirds will start MVC play on the road against Murray State on December 29. Other away games include Valparaiso (January 17), UIC (January 19), Drake (February 7), UNI (February 9), Indiana State (February 13), Evansville (February 15), Bradley (February 23), Missouri State (March 6) and Southern Illinois (March 8).

Illinois State's home opener is against Indiana State on January 2. They will also host Evansville (January 4), UNI (January 10), Drake (January 12), Bradley (January 26), Southern Illinois (January 31), Missouri State (February 2), Belmont (February 20), UIC (February 27) and Valparaiso (March 1).

Last season, under head coach Kristen Gillespie, the Redbirds made it to the WNIT Super Sixteen, marking their fourth consecutive postseason appearance. The team secured back-to-back seasons with at least twenty wins for the first time since the periods of the late-2000s and early-2010s.

Returning players include All-MVC Freshman Team selection Shannon Dowell and veteran point guard Maya Wong. New transfers are Elyce Knudsen from Millikin, Addi Martin from Abilene Christian, and Nevaeh Thomas from Evansville.

GoRedbirds.com and the Illinois State Redbirds App provide information on tickets, athletic fund gifts, multimedia content, merchandise, photos, and more.
